Dr Yeole elected APTI's national President

Dr P G Yeole, Principal, Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (IPER), Wardha, Maharashtra, has been declared as National President of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). After result declaration, Yeole said that strengthening of the association will be his top priority as he wants Central and State government to take cognizance while chalking out pharmacy education policy. Establishment of Central and State universities for pharmacy, training institutes for pharmacy teachers and their welfare, uniformity in pharmacy curriculum and elevation of standard of pharmacy education at par with international standards will be his other priorities, added Yeole.

Yeole has been in the field of pharmacy for last 25 years and principal of IPER which conducts diploma, degree, post graduate and doctorate programmes in pharmacy under his able guidance. He is the member of senate and management council of RTM Nagpur University. He is actively associated with many academic and professional bodies of pharmacy. Also, he is the member of board of studies and faculty in different varsities from other states. Yeole is actively involved in organising workshops and training programmes for updating the knowledge of pharmacy teachers. He has published 68 research papers in national and international journals besides eight review article and has authored two books. He successfully guided 27 M Pharm students and four students were awarded doctorate degrees under him. In addition, he has been honoured with national and state awards for his outstanding contribution to the field of pharmacy.

Being President of APTI Maharashtra State branch for four years, the association has evolved tremendously since its inception, not only in size but also in maturity, service lines, service delivery capability and footprint. Yeole expressed his gratitude for all pharmacy teachers in the country for their confidence and support.
